Event Details

The Duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run then a 12 mile bike ride and ends with another 2 mile run. Many participate in this event as teams of 2 or 3, but this event can also be done solo. The 5K is a 3.1 mile race on a mix of trails and paved roads in Cook Forest. These events are timed with the exception of the community walk which is a two mile walk. All those who are pre-registered by July 6th will receive a free t-shirt. There is also a free picnic lunch provided to all racers and spectators following the event.

Each participant is encouraged to raise donations for Western PA CARES for Kids, Inc. and bring along on race day. Each participant bringing donations will be entered to win prizes. Any participant raising over $75.00 will be eligible for top prizes which include overnight getaways. Participant with highest amount of donations gets first pick of all prizes. Registration and waiver forms are available here on our website and at the Brookville YMCA. When registering through the YMCA make checks payable to Brookville YMCA. This event benefits Western PA CARES for Kids Child Advocacy Center.
