2021 Duathlon, 5K, and Community Walk

Our annual race offers 2 different timed events, a community walk and fun for the whole family!

cash prizes for race winners
free picnic lunch for all racers and spectators
great raffles including gift cards and tickets to theme parks and sporting events

Our race, held in the beautiful Cook Forest State Park, will be held July 17, 2020 at Shelter 2.

The first 50 people to register online will be entered into a drawing for $100!

Each participant is encouraged to raise donations for Western PA CARES for Kids, Inc. and bring along on race day. Each participant bringing donations will be entered to win door prizes.

Any participant who brings in $75.00 or more in sponsorship money will also be automatically entered in the grand prize drawing.

The participants who bring in the most sponsorship money will have first pick at the prizes.

Participant must bring a list with each sponsor’s address and indicate if the sponsor would like to receive a tax deduction letter.

A sampling of some of our grand prizes: EG 4- burner gas grill, Keurig K- Duo, a 43” TCL ROKU TV, a Buzzer Beater Basketball Hoop, a Sony Blu-ray, Sony PS4, Canon Printer, Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, Bissell Power force vacuum, a Hamilton Beach 1000 watt microwave and a Phillips 32” ROKU tv.

Day of Race Registration starts at 8:00AM
Duathlon starts at 9:00AM
5k starts at 10:00AM

Event Details

The Duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run then a 12 mile bike ride and ends with another 2 mile run. Many participate in this event as teams of 2 or 3, but this event can also be done solo. The 5K is a 3.1 mile race on a mix of trails and paved roads in Cook Forest. These events are timed with the exception of the community walk which is a two mile walk. All those who are pre-registered by June 19th will receive a free t-shirt. There is also a free picnic lunch provided to all racers and spectators following the event.

Registration and waiver forms are available here on our website and at the Brookville YMCA. When registering through the YMCA make checks payable to Brookville YMCA. This event benefits Western PA CARES for Kids Child Advocacy Center.
