SUMMARY:2026 Duathlon\, 5K\, and Community Walk
DESCRIPTION:July 18\, 2026 @ 8:00 am – 2:00 pm\n\n\n\nOur annual race offers 2 different timed events\, a community walk and fun for the whole family! \n\nCash prizes for race winners\nFree picnic lunch for all racers and spectators\nGreat raffles including gift cards and tickets to theme parks and sporting events\n\nOur race\, held in the beautiful Cook Forest State Park\, will be held July 18\, 2026 at Shelter 2. \n \n\nParticipants are encouraged to raise donations for Western PA CARES for Kids and bring them on race day. \nThe top three fundraisers will have first pick of premium fundraising prizes. All other fundraisers who raise $75 or more will be entered into an exclusive prize drawing.  \nRaffle tickets will be available for purchase\, and anyone may participate.  \nFundraisers must bring a list including each sponsor’s name\, address\, and whether they would like to receive a tax receipt. \nA sampling of some of our past grand prizes: EG 4- burner gas grill\, Keurig K- Duo\, a 43” TCL ROKU TV\, a Buzzer Beater Basketball Hoop\, a Sony Blu-ray\, Sony PS4\, Blackstone Grill\, Canon Printer\, Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer\, Bissell Power force vacuum\, a Hamilton Beach 1000 watt microwave and a Phillips 32” ROKU tv. \nPrint off this sponsorship form to get started! \n \n\nEarly Bird Registration from May 6th – May 31st\nEveryone who registers during that time will be put in a drawing for $100.00. \nRegular registration will be from June 1- July 17th. The last day to pre-register is July 17th.\nDay of Race Registration starts at 8:00 AM (We cannot guarantee t-shirt for those registering after June 20th.) \nDuathlon starts at 9:00 AM\n5K starts at 10:00 AM \nRace Forms\nOnline Race Registration Link \nCARES Flyer 2026  \n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEvent Details\nThe Duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run then a 12 mile bike ride and ends with another 2 mile run. Many participate in this event as teams of 2 or 3\, but this event can also be done solo. The 5K is a 3.1 mile race on a mix of trails and paved roads in Cook Forest. These events are timed with the exception of the community walk which is a two mile walk. All those who are pre-registered by June 20th will receive a free t-shirt. There is also a free picnic lunch provided to all racers and spectators following the event. \nRegistration and waiver forms are available here on our website.
